So you received the invitation and logged in. This can be the beginning of a great ride. And I hope we can all get together for it.

It's time to collect all the information if we are really doing this. This site will save us a lot of time when we are on the road. I will be compiling everything I know here. If you know some of this information to be untrue or insufficient let me know so I can correct it. I thought it would be better to prepare this in English so that the others can use it once we are done. Many people travel to Americas on motorcycles. It's a very attractive biking destination because of the rich cultures gathered in a relatively small geography and the fact that you don't need a CARNET to get your bike in and out of the borders. It's also a good start if you plan to make bigger trips in the future. A rough estimate for the time required for this trip would be 30-45 days. One way. Planned departure date is February 2009.
